Baselland is a land of discovery. Few regions offer so many highlights to explore away from the major tourist trails. Visitors to “s’Baselbiet,” as the canton is affectionately known, soon succumb to its charm. This was also true for the Romans, who felt at home in our region and left us legacies such as the Roman town of Augusta Raurica, cherries, and viticulture, all of which our region is known for today.
